Growing Community
Record growth enables Luna to sustain lower pricing for Insight. New pricing for the Insight license, introduced in 2005,
has remained stable for 2006 as the Insight Community continues to flourish. We welcome new clients for 2006 including: Colby College; Griffith
University; Sheffield Hallam University; University of Florida; University of Manitoba; Vassar College; and the Wyoming State Archive.

Within its new features and functionality, Insight v5.5 greatly simplifies the effort needed to build, manage, and share
collections. Licensed Insight clients with maintenance agreements have received the upgrade DVD by FedEx. Hosted Insight clients will be notified
in advance of the upgrade by the Luna Technical Services team.
Release highlights include the ability to publish and share catalog templates with Insight Studio. Insight clients can use this new feature to collectively
build new templates to solve community requirements for cataloguing challenges where metadata standards continue to emerge. With the introduction of this
tool, Luna is looking forward to new implementations focused on evolving standards. Other key 5.5 features include the ability to convert Personal Collections to Institutional Collections, support for XML data import, and Insight as a Static OAI repository.

Content through Community
As our client list grows, so does the number of Insight collections that are available for sharing. There are now a total of
46 free collections that Insight license holders can access and compile content from. Unique to the Insight community is the ability for our clients
to share and access collections independent of third party distribution channels. While access isn’t limited to Insight clients, Insight clients have
the unique ability to aggregate content from all available collections whether shared, subscription, institution, department or personal.
NITLE Report Sheds Light on Community Direction
The recently published paper, "Visual Resources Environment at Liberal Arts Colleges", Transformations (April 3, 2006) points to
many of Insight’s strengths as a well positioned solution for forward thinking institutions. Insight is the right choice for institutions searching for a scalable solution with features and functionality architected to leverage resources and meet the needs of multiple departments. Insight supports both Personal and Institutional Collections while enabling multiple field standards and an open-architecture that supports Cross-Collection searching. An Insight license fosters best practices for centralized image management and provides tools for interoperability with course-ware applications through multiple export features including HTML, PowerPoint, and Keynote.
